🔥Around the Campfire (week 3)

Dear Campers ~

Hope everyone had a great week, and you're staying healthy and warm (if you're in CA I hear it's very warm, so in that case hope you're comfortable hahahha - I'm in MI and doing my best to keep warm!). Here's a quick recap in case you missed anything at camp this past week:

Posts ~

1/10: 🔥week 2

1/11: create a schedule to stay productive and on task! (aka: advice for myself haha)

1/12: tip-sy tuesday: fennel

1/13: lemon honey dijon chicken with fennel

1/14: dog crochet basket

1/15: Macey's skinny chicken parmesan

1/16: cat crochet basket (2nd version)

from Jen, made me laugh 😂

What's Cooking ~

  • grilled pork tenderloin, roasted butternut squash, steamed green beans
  • marinated chicken breast, cauliflower rice, roasted broccoli
  • tater tot casserole (lightened up version! recipe to follow)
  • unstuffed chicken cordon bleu, roasted broccoli
  • steak, caesar salad, sautéed mushrooms
  • skinny chicken parm with spaghetti squash and spinach
Miscellaneous stuff keeping me busy ~
  • in addition to a few more masks, I made some mask leashes. Check back tomorrow for an example or two.
  • read 'Death, Doom, and Detention' by Darynda Jones, second in a series about a girl with supernatural powers. It's an ok read, don't love, don't hate. How's that for a booming endorsement? ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • read 'The Guest List' by Lucy Foley. Pretty good mild thriller, been compared to an Agatha Christie mystery. Wedding on a remote island in Ireland with quite a few twists. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • read 'Hillbilly Elegy' by J.D. Vance - his memoir of struggles of growing up poor in Appalachia, Kentucky and Ohio. It's now on Netflix and I don't know how exactly they've made this a movie, he has plenty of interesting, colorful stories but the book read more of a lecture on culture and class which not the sort of book I tend to read. It's good, not a quick easy read, but interesting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ok, that's it for this week. Stop back often to see more projects, crafts, recipes, whatever else I can think of to make at camp! Bye!

Sincerely ~
