Dear Campers ~
Here's a quick recap of what happened at camp last week in case you missed anything:
Posts ~
9/26: 🔥week 39
9/27: Kyle's charcuterie board
9/28: tip-sy tuesday: make a paper plate bowl
9/29: oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
9/30: tbt: ham butter
10/1: stuffed eggplant
10/2: quesadilla hack
What's Cooking ~
- grilled bbq salmon (literally just baste the salmon with bbq sauce while cooking), couscous, spinach
- butternut squash, green salad
- steak, caesar salad, sautéed mushrooms
- chicken ala king (recipe next tbt!), mixed veggies
- chicken sausage, white beans baked with marinara, roasted green beans
- air fryer salmon, roasted broccoli & cauliflower
Miscellaneous stuff keeping me busy ~
- I read two books by Myquillyn Smith that I really enjoyed. "Cozy Minimalist Home" and "Welcome Home", decorating books promoting decorating using less stuff for more style - she isn't a minimalist as much as using natural elements instead of buying seasonal stuff, and not doing a major overhaul with the change of seasons, and having the thing we surround ourselves with be 'enough'. A different way of looking at things and there are a lot of take away thoughts that resonated with me. I recommend even if you aren't interested in getting rid of the 47 plastic pumpkins you've been storing for 10 months hahahhaha. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- been crocheting like a mad woman (hmmm does that phrase make sense? does a mad woman crochet? maybe I should say crocheting frantically), I'll tell you why later.
another look at Kyle's charcuterie board/centerpiece, this time with Mary's crocheted apples (or are they pumpkins? - either way I love them!) |
That's it for this week - hope you'll stop by often to see more recipes, crafts, projects, ramblings, whatever I think of to make at camp next week! Have a great week - bye!
Sincerely ~
