Today's tip is super simple and if you decorate cakes you probably already know it - but I'm here to share in case you don't know this one! When frosting a layered cake, the first layer tends to move around on the plate or cake circle - if you put a dab of frosting on the plate or circle first and then top with the bottom layer, it won't move or slide around (well it might move if you are transporting the finished cake and your husband takes the curves too fast but that's a whole 'nother problem hahha).
