Today's tip is to check out how easy it is to make a copycat version of In-N-Out sauce, and then come back tomorrow for my favorite way to eat it :) Yep, you'll thank me!
In case you don't know - In-N-Out is a popular west coast fast food restaurant featuring burgers, freshly-cut fries, shakes and a 'not so secret' secret menu. I don't know why, and I'm not Googling to find out hahah, but they refer to this sauce as 'spread' - but it's a sauce.
There are lots of copycat recipes for this online; I like this one with a little mustard and no added sugar, but another common recipe is mayo, ketchup, relish, vinegar and sugar.
I don't have a picture but it pretty much looks like Thousand Island dressing.
- ½ cup mayonnaise (reduced fat or regular)
- 3 TBS ketchup
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 2 ½ TBS sweet pickle relish
- dash of salt
- dash of black pepper
