Dreamcatcher by Macey

Dream catcher: first time... stay tuned for more :) and hopefully better than this one!

To make this dreamcatcher, you will need the following materials:

- A hoop (traditionally made of willow, but other materials such as metal or plastic can also be used)

- A spool of string or yarn

- Feathers

- Beads

- Scissors

How-To...

1. Wrap the hoop with string or yarn until it is completely covered. You can use a single color or multiple colors, depending on your preference.

2. Tie a knot at the top of the hoop to create a loop for hanging.

3. Cut a long piece of string or yarn (about 2-3 feet long) and tie one end to the hoop at the top of the loop.

4. Wrap the string or yarn around the hoop, making sure to keep it taut and evenly spaced. Continue wrapping until you reach the starting point.

5. Tie the end of the string or yarn to the starting point and cut off any excess.

6. Cut another piece of string or yarn and tie it to the hoop where you want to start the next section of webbing.

7. Create the next section of webbing by looping the string or yarn around the hoop and passing it through the center of the previous section. Continue this process until you have created a web pattern in the center of the hoop. Make sure to keep the tension even throughout.

8. Once you have created the web pattern, tie off the string or yarn and cut off any excess.

9. Cut several pieces of string or yarn (about 6-8 inches long) and tie them to the bottom of the hoop. You can add beads or feathers to these strings if you like.

10. Finally, tie a longer piece of string or yarn to the bottom of the hoop for hanging. You can add more beads or feathers as well.

Wahoooo!
